Wherever he is... there she may also be...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! She can crawl & She can stand. It has been inevitable... for weeks upon weeks we have watched her roll and twist and shimmy into whatever mischief time would allow. Once she got up on all fours - Brother has NO MORE PEACE! If he has it, its hers. She doesn't want her own toys - only Brother's will do.Thank you, I was thirsty Brother - your cup looked rather yummy.Thank you, I was hungry Brother - no matter that bread was in your hand.Thank you, I needed a toy - Oh, it was in your hand, well, thanks anyway. He has been awful sweet to her. He's more the passive type, so he just hands over whatver her request is. I also think that he finds it funny to watch her play with his toys. They also enjoy playing together. The door toy is the perfect for teaching them to share. At the moment, Mommy is trying to figure out how to handle the added mobility while still trying to keep the house in order -but as Abigail's 'babysteps' will take time and practice to get better and better,so MY adjustment should take babysteps as well.My babies are growing up...If you want to see her in action crawling - or any of our many many pictures, just click here to visit our Picasa Web Album. The crawling videos are at the end of August 2008 folder

No time for a long post tonight, but today she Crawled for the first time. I can't forget this date for her baby book. Of course, it was just a little and very wobbly, but she was on all fours - one step at a time - fall down - try again! Yay for my not-so-little-anymore baby. :-)

TV

Are my children TV addicts? We really do try to leave it off the majority of the day but it is a great distraction during those times when I need to get something done. Elijah's new favorite show is 'SUPER WHY'. This first picture gives you an idea of HOW EXCITED he gets when I finally give in and let him watch after I hear 'watch Super Why' 1000 times. Then, Miss Abigail rolls and twists her way into the livingroom and positions herself in QUITE the couch potato stance. Pay attention to the folded fingers and crossed legs. Her little lip is all tucked under in concentration too. My silly silly kids.....

All in the name of Brownies

Well, we wanted brownies. One would think that I could put a pan of brownies in the oven and then take them back out without an injury. But, One would be wrong. Look at that burn. OOOH... ouch. It'll heal soon, its actually not as painful as it looks, but it was a pretty awesome burn, so I felt like showing it off.

She's finally old enough for a big girl bath with brother

I love this closeup!

Ok. The story behind this is that she wanted to snuggle SO bad. I was busy trying to get Elijah settled too & so I layed her up next to her 'virtual' sister & she was happy as a lark. Bad news is I can't do it again. When I heard her waking up on the monitor I went to check on her. She was NOWHERE to be found. Turns out she was UNDER her brothers bed all the way in the BACK corner. I think she was looking forward to a game of hide-and-seek, but it scared Mommy to death!

I told you Elijah, one of these days Abigail's pics are going to take prominence on the blog. So, here is Elijah - Blowing kisses and cheesin'.

I wanna play with Brother's bus!!

SASSY GIRL!! This is my new alltime favorite! Just take a look at that tounge.

Ok... is that a pacifier or a little boy??? I do believe she is confused!

August Already?!

You mean to tell me it's already August? It doesn't even feel right saying it yet.If I blink, Im afraid Abigail will be a year old. This weekend Memaw and Papa brought us a swingset, and also brought a slide sent from Granny and Grandad. We had a swing attached to our carport before, but the landlord wasn't too pleased with it. Now we can both swing together & Mom has high hopes that maybe she can plop a chair between the two swings and read a book. ;-) She knows that'll never happen, but it's good to dream. We also got a special visit from Uncle Dave... Abigail was a sweetheart. She hardly took her eyes off of him... just waited patiently for him to play with her again and again. It was a great weekend overall & now we're back work...
